Description
Current vehicle cybersecurity depends on uploading vast amounts of data to the vehicle security operations center (VSOC), significantly driving up costs as fleets expand. Minimizing the number of unnecessary security events sent to Vehicle Security Operation Centers is now a key concern. One approach is to offload some of the VSOC capabilities directly into the vehicle or device using specifically trained small language models. Once triggered, they can correlate collected data onboard, like system performance, ethernet or canbus frames. Sensor data, etc. The AI can understand and reference this against known attack techniques and patterns and submit this result back to the operation center without having to send constant bulk data to the backend.
